Because I couldn’t find a useable template in the original validation study or anywhere on the web, I have created one! It is free to all. And, it wasn’t easy or cheap to create so if you want to kick in a few bucks for the download, that would be appreciated!
To use the template:
- Download the template.
- In Print Settings, be sure that your settings do not scale. The template is set up for 8.5 x 11″ paper.
- Print one copy onto transparency paper that is appropriate for your printer (inkjet or laserjet). Note: not all printers can print onto transparencies so check your printer manual for details.
- Use a measuring tape to confirm that the printed adheremeter is exactly 2cm between each concentric circle. (When settings are correct, it will be.)
To use the modified adheremeter in practice:
- Reference the original study on the modified adheremeter: Reliability of modified adheremeter and digital pressure algometer in measuring normal abdominal tissue and C-section scars
